The DREAM Scholarship has a new website address

Please help us share the news that the DREAM Scholarship has a revamped website and new website address—www.dreamscholarshipnc.org (previously it was a dot com).

The scholarship is designed to make college more affordable for students in Henderson County, NC, who are required to pay out of state tuition due to immigration status or other circumstances.

The website includes application links, an ABOUT section and FAQs. We hope you find it helpful.

While the website is new, the DREAM Scholarship has been going strong for more than a decade and has helped more than 50 students from our community to achieve their educational dreams.

Please share with people you know who could benefit.

Thank you!

“Having the DREAM Scholarship has been life changing to me as it has allowed me to continue studying and finish my bachelor’s degree in accounting. I am very proud and excited to look at my siblings and guide them through college so they too can be college graduates.”

Emily Bly Bee

EMILY BLY BEE is a journalist, book nerd, and boring suburban mom who has lived in Henderson County for more than 30 years. Her young adult children grew up here and attended great public schools before going on to do things that amaze her (in a good way!) every day. She believes that fairness and opportunity create a stable community and that extremism is a clear and present danger to us all. She chose her Bee name to celebrate two women writers--Emily Dickenson and Emily Bronte--as well as Nellie Bly, the intrepid journalist who is her much braver alter ego.
